The MVAC conducts two scheduled assessments every year. The main assessment is conducted post-harvest, during the months of May or June. This is followed by an update assessment in October or November. Apart from the two assessments, MVAC also conducts Food Security and Price Monitoring and Pre-harvest assessments. The Food Security and Price Monitoring Assessment aims at assessing the food security situation and prevailing prices on the market while the Pre-harvest Assessment aims at monitoring the production season and assessing production prospects.
